It’s 11pm, the ironing is finished and, if I don’t look behind me, there’s no other housework to be done. We’ve an early start tomorrow, and a long day, so logic would suggest that it’s time to go to bed. But the house it quiet, the kettle not long from boiling and there are tens of episodes of CSI in its various locations to watch. And maybe one or two knitting projects on the go. Shouldn’t work on Rose: It’s (still) time to pick-up the stitches on the sleeve and without a caffeine boost (not a good idea this late), that could go horribly wrong. Could work on Ross’s tank top, it would be nice to have that ready for when Husband is back and we go to meet the wee fellow. Speaking of Husband, I could even work on his jumper. Notice how I’ve not mentioned the new project with it’s a new yarn. Have I told you about the gorgeous new yarn in its six beautiful colours? It’s Aran weight so I’ll be using 4.5mm needles and that’ll mean that it’ll knit up in no time. Okay, maybe sometime. Maybe some precious “Rose” time (only 13 days before “Due Day”). Well, that’s the decision made: Dates with Horatio and Grissom are going to have to wait. I’m going to bed. But I’ve set the alarm clock a wee bit earlier so that the pins keeping my eyelids open can be used in the picking-up instead.
